Little Basket

I made this yesterday afternoon while watching some TV. When I was at Dawn's on Tuesday I saw a couple the girls had made. Just had to come home and make one for myself.

These little baskets do come in handy around the house when hand stitching.

Baby Quilt

Yesterday was a very productive day in the sewing room. I was just so pleased with my achievement for the day.

I didn't go to sewing in the morning as Pat was vomiting the day before. Last thing I wanted to do was pass on any bug to the Tuesday girls. So I used that time to starting this beautiful quilt for my granddaughter who is due late November.

I used a charm pack of "Sherbet Pips" that I won on Retromummy's blog. All that is left to do is a border and then sandwich it all together and you know the rest.

Hoping to go to Hettie's Patch tomorrow and match up some fabric for the border. On Facebook it was suggested red to bring out the red in the blocks. I like this idea, just because its a baby quilt doesn't mean it can't be bright.

As its also Cooper Day, he'll come for a ride on the train and tram too. I'm sure he'll just have a ball, what 16 month old wouldn't.

Last Of My Birthday Fabric

Do you have enough hours in your day? Sometimes I think I could do with a few

Here is the last post in my birthday fabric show and tell for this year.

I bought my first load of fabric off Etsy. Very excited as I now have a new source to look at for fabric when  I need to go shopping.

Rouenneries Deux.

I just can't resist French General.

Half a yard of each of the six fabric. Thanks Khris for the extra birthday money.

Papillon is from the Tuesday girls. I have visions of a quilt with a flower appliqued on the bottom right hand side.

The other two jelly rolls are Pom Pom de Paris (French General)  and Fellowship. This is the last of the group birthday money from the C-R-A-F-T group girls.

Thank you so much girls:)

Lots of fabric this year.

Twelve Blocks Made

There is something about finishing off the blocks for a quilt. I'm feeling like I am on the homeward track now.

These blocks won't be in this order when put together. I just wanted to show you what they look like.

This quilt is a Christmas present. The left over strips from the jelly roll will be used in the binding.

Birthday Fabric

I received in the mail the other day some of my birthday fabric I had ordered. Just love being in this craft group.

The girls are so friendly and we just love chatting.

The reel of cotton was a free gift for spending over certain amount.

Thank you so much girls for my birthday fabric. There is still more in the mail. Should be here this week.

Bit late I know, but as promised.

The book I received from Sandi in the Friends Swap.

The photos will speak for themselves and I can't wait to make some of the items in this beautiful book.

Once again Sandi, thank you. xoxoxo
