Future Projects

I have a list of ideas and items I want to make and I try and put them on my blog to keep track.

When making the cushion swap I fell in love with the cushion I made. So much that I want to make one for our house.

These are the colours and fabrics I have picked. Can't wait to show you the other cushion, but I have to wait until my swapper has received it. So until then... you'll have to wait.

This material I want to make some place mats for the kitchen.... fell in love with this when I saw it.

Lots happening in the sewing room and once all this blogging is up to date, I'll be in there sewing, cutting and having a FAB TAB of a time.

Tote Bag

I was sent the Egyptian material from a lovely lady, finally I have finished my tote bag.

Its a great size and its used regularly due to this. We can fit an adult jumper in it when one of us overheats in the shopping centres or carry some of the goodies we have bought.

I still have some of the material left over and I'll think about what I can use this for down the track.

Side shot of the ties and wooden beads I used.

I didn't follow at pattern and am very pleased with the out come.

Laundry Needs

For ages now I have needed a new rag bag in the laundry. So before I came down with this blasted cold...I made a basic bag for the rags.

I used some of the scraps to made the handles. The material was bought on clearance for a couple of $$. Nice, easy and cheap to brighten up the laundry room.

Over on the craft forum I was involved in a peg bag swap and it was amazing to see how many different kinds of bags were made.

My swapper has gone AWOL and so I'll show you the one I made. The request was country and I don't think you can get anymore country than cute farm animals.

The peg bag I made is still in my sewing room as I hadn't sent it.

Chegre wasn't in the swap but she was taken with a peg bag pattern and wanted to try making one. I was the receiver of her bag and I thank my swap angel so much.

Its lovely and the ladies with their pear shape bottoms is just gorgeous how they sit centred on the peg bag. Love the material.

Back of the peg bag......

Thanks Chegre

I haven't been sewing much as I came down with a shocking cold..... now I am on the mend I hope to change this.
