Tuesday's Sewing Christmas

Our Tuesday Christmas lunch was a fun day with the sewing girls of our group. We each brought some food and we had a lovely lunch at Dawn's place. Judy even had us sewing a little Christmas project..... not quite finished...I'll show it to you when we finish them off.

These little goodies came from a few of the girls on the day....there also was a scratchy ticket.... I didn't win

Inside the cup is a packet of chocolate pudding mix to make using the cup and microwave. I eat the pudding from the cup.

My Kris Kringle was Joy and she spoilt me something special.

I adore cushions and check out these 2 lovely little cushions.

I saw them in a mag one month and thought how cute..... and now I have 2 for myself.

Joy said I had commented on this wall hanger one Tuesday. It's hanging in the lounge room.

Thanks so much Joy for spoiling me and being such a lovely sewing sister.

Now that we each know who our KK was on the day........ can't keep things a secret can we??? LOL.

I thought I would show you what I made Joy for her Christmas present.

She loves the cushion. So do I for that matter. Going to make one in green for myself. Also a cat one for Brenda.... simple as to make too.

Still more goodies to come in the next post.

It's Christmas Time.

How was your Christmas ??? Mine was relaxing as other people cooked and I visited 2 different family's places for the meals. Both Pat & I came home last night, well fed and very spoilt.

Over the next couple of days I am going to show you some of the most beautiful gifts I was given from my sewing sisters. I think they all deserve their own posts.

Love all you girls heaps.

For the past 25 days I have been enjoying my first Christmas Advent swap over on the sewing forum.

I was very spoilt by my swap partner "Geniene". So spoilt I want to share some of my advent gifts with you today.

Some of the beautiful gifts I was sent. Some Geniene made and the work is stunning. Two more books to help me learn to embroider flowers. Some gifts I got to

The bag on the right I was just so excited to receive as I have always wanted one of these. But I have never sewn a zip yet. Inside I found 2 lovely purple skeins of embroidery cotton. So now on Tuesdays, when I go to my sewing group, I am not using a sandwich bag.

The bag on the left is what I opened on Christmas Day. Isn't it beautiful? Look at the stitchery Geniene sewed on both bags.

Thanks so much Geniene for being my Advent swap partner for this year. You did so spoil me.

I wanted to show you the Christmas present I made for Geniene. I also made other gifts as well and added sewing items through out the advent swap.

Well Christmas is all over for another 12 months. Hoping to get back into a routine, as I haven't been sewing much of late.

Happy Sewing Birthday To Me :)

As hinted back a few days ago, I am now about to announce a surprise for not me but my readers.

Its my sewing birthday today........... yay!!!!!!

I am 1 year old today as on the 9th of December 2008 I bought my very first sewing machine and sent my family into a spin. My loving hubby into shock as he thinks I'll never complete another jumper for him ever

In the last 12 months I have not only found a passion I didn't know I had, but also learnt you can teach a young dog new tricks.....

Twelve months later I belong to the most fantastic sewing group and I love you girls so much.

I have joined a great forum who have supported me and watched me grow as I learn new tricks. They are kind in their advice when I post photos of where I go wrong. Love you gals too.

Thank you also to you, my readers. For your comments and support over the last 12 months.

So now the speech is finished lets unwrap a present.

Naaa...... lets sing a song ready???

Happy birthday to me
Happy birthday to me

Happy birthday dear Lucky....

Happy birthday to me.

Okay what is in the give away........

Behind door 1 is

Ricrac and ribbon. A wonderful embellishment for those little or big projects.

Door 2

Buttons and a lacy butterfly. You are very honoured to get 1 of those butterflies as it took me 11 months to find them.

Door # 3

Woolen yarn..... maybe for a doll you have made.

Door number 4

Fat 1/4s and note 1 of them is green. I love green material. Love animal material and farmyard and flowers and oh heck the whole darn quilting shops material.

Need something to store the goodies in as they are mailed to you????? Course you do.

I made you a little bag to keep them all tidy until they get to your place. Then you can use it to store what ever you want in it.

Mine sits by me when I am sewing in the lounge room in the evening or on my sewing room when working in there. My sister Deb made me a beautiful green one for my birthday back earlier this year.

Like my present I don't get to keep???

If you would like to win it, its so easy.

Post a comment for an entry, on this post only.

Post my give away with a link to it, on your blog and let me know, so I can check......thats entry #2.

If you become a follower that would be real cool....... and for that another entry.

So all up you can enter 3 times.

I'm going to pull out a winning name on the 17th of this month.

So all the best and remember....

Oh I was being so clever and posted earlier today a hint of what I am making for the 9th of Dec. Well who won't be doing that again in the future.

I buggered up the last part of it and its only fit for my house. So I did what all good sewing people do. I made a new one and its a better one. Much nicer to look at and not messy. I'll show you the 1st one on the 9th along with the good one.

Here's what the new colours are and guess what!!!!!

I waited until I had finished it, before I posted it here. Now that is worth

No posting hints and teasers unless it finished. No sir..........
